Digital Sports Group are today launching the PFA Player Profile of Newcastle midfielder Jonas Gutierrez. DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk. It was today the turn of Jonas Gutierrez to see his official PFA Profile.
Gutierrez signed for Newcastle in July 2008 from Real Mallorca. He made his debut for Newcastle United on the opening day of the 2008-09 season, he impressed both fans and pundits and he helped his team to a 1-1 draw against title holders Manchester United. Following a string of ompressive performance, Gutierrez was subsequently sidelined during most of October and November that season with a shoulder injury. He returned to action as a substitue in the Tyne-Wear derby against local rivals Sunderland, and later starred against West Brom and Aston Villa Reclaiming his place in the first team with impressive play. Gutierrez signed a new four-year contract at the club in September 2011 and maintained his impressive form throughout the 2011-12 campaign. Gutierrez has been hailed as one of the best players in the Premier League by World Footballer of the Year, Lionel Messi.
